Does Mayweather finally make sense for once?

http://www.boxingscene.com/mayweather-i-want-face-pacquiao-rips-bob-arum–40896

It’s the very first time he makes sense if you ask me and the man pretty much verifies what i was saying ( but i was being accused being Hitler or racist blah blah, i bet the same peeps now will justify Floyd)

Floyd among other things says: ” When i was with Bob Arum i was the greatest thing that ever lived, and once i left Arum and i made my own business, all of a sudden i was a coward, i was this, i was that”

Basically Mayweather says in a political correct way that Arum and the Jewish dominated boxing media in the US can turn you from a hero to a bum if you don’t serve their purposes anymore.
He just have to think though that Arum and the Jewish controlled media are the ones which worship his race in the sport for decades now and belittle or deny credit to whites, Asians and Europeans for ever, he needs to be more fair, because when he was part of the system he seemed happy with it :)

One way or another, the dominant, superior and influential race of the Jews which runs America and most of the western world post ww2, runs the sport and worship whoever they want at times and i agree if Bob Arum didn’t back up Manny like he did Floyd, Ali etc before, Manny would still be a great fighter just pretty much unappreciated and unknown. It’s the first time i agree with Floyd.

PS
Guys please don’t come and tell me that USA or the western bank system, Hollywood, sports and media are not dominated by a single race and all races have their contribution and the rest non sense……..whatever, the “chosen” people of God run it and we all know it, nothing wrong with that, just a fact :)

Chris answers:

I don’t think that this bloody thug has any brains inside his big head, so i find it impossible for him to make any sense, sorry Socrates.

Why do special forces think they can beat pro fighters including pro boxers in the ring?

I notice that military hand to hand combat specialists especially those who teach techniques to Special Forces tend to underestimate the effectiveness of Ring Fighters and Ring Fighting techniques. In fact I recall a that military hand to hand combat instructors sometimes are so arrogant and confident of their skills they sometimes say they could easily kill professional fighters such as MMA fighter Randy Couture and boxer May Weather! While I do agree that special forces may have the edge over Couture and other professional fighters ON THE STREETS, what bugs me is how these special forces especially hand to hand instructors get so cocky and arrogant that they brag they could defeat professional fighters in the Ring.

WTF!Most special forces including these hand to hand combat instructors SUCK IN MMA ,BOXING, and COMBAT SPORTS IN GENERAL!Hell I bet that even the worst MMA fighter and boxer would easily own the asses of the best special forces hand to hand combat instructors and the most battle hardened special forces!

Hell I could easily beat any special forces’ *** including the best of Delta and SEALS in a Boxing match and MMA Fight!Hell I could easily knock out the best Ranger H2H instructor in a Boxing match in the first round without getting hurt!

Seriously RING FIGHTING IS A WHOLE DIFFERENT DOG FROM WHATEVER HAND TO HAND COMBAT SYSTEMS THESE SPECIAL FORCES USE!

Special forces are absolutely useless in MMA and Boxing. Why the hell do they think they could easily beat the best of the best of boxing such as Ali and the best of the best of MMA such as Lesner?

Most special forces don’t even know much in hand to hand combat, hell they perform martial arts techniques and boxing strikes very sloppy!

Seriously even ME AND MY FRIENDS KNOW THAT WE CAN DESTROT ANY GREEN BERET,RANGER,SAS,SEAL,AND DELTA IN A RING WITH EASE AND IN LESS THAN A ROUND IN BOXING AND MMA!

Hell I bet every amateur boxer here in Yahoo Answers can easily knock the *** out of any SEAL,SAS, Delta, and any other Special Forces commando in a BOXING MATCH!

Chris answers:

Wow, lets see a “special force” vs floyd mayweather jr in a boxing match.

The “special force” will get tagged all 12 rounds (specific rules of boxing)

Mayweather is a game planner.. Not a fighter. So how would the “special force” win?

A lot of them don’t think they can beat pro fighters. However I know a few people the are in the SAS that were former mma fighters and such. One of them said a lot of the men in the regiment would get the sh*t beat out of them by boxers and mma fighers. The reason special forces soldiers or any military soldiers aren’t the best at hand to hand combat is because it is very rarely needed. One of the men in the SAS said to me that he has never used hand to hand combat in war ever. That’s why they only generally learn it and don’t go into the depth of pro fighters. But still, if the special forces guy had a gun, your pro fighter wouldn’t ever be fighting again, let’s just put it that way.

Donald asks…

If you bet $25 on a team that is +120. How do you figure how much you will win?

I understand that if you bet $100, you will win 120. But how would you figure out if you only bet 25? Also how would you bet the money line, or straight up on the world series game tonight. If stl is 8o15 and tex is -124. how would i just bet 25 on saying that cardinals will win (underdogs) i know how to do hockey bets, but not baseball.

Chris answers:

Hockey bets are the same as baseball when placing them. If you are asking which buttons to click, then it depends on which sportsbook you are using.

It would probably be easier for you to change your setting so that your odds will be displayed in decimal format. This will allow you to be able to just multiply your wager amount by the decimal odds to find out how much you would win! All online books allow you to change how the odds are displayed. Otherwise, you will have to convert the odds to a decimal on your own each time. $25 is 1/4 of 100. 120 divided by 4 is $30. That would be your profit, and you would get your $25 returned as well for a total of $55.

Good luck!

How come police don’t arrest them?

I know estasy is illegal. However, these parties at Sport Arena or Convention Center such as rave and dome that have whole bunch of ppl taking them and not getting arrested? Police tend to stay outside for traffic but they could have pull any cars over and do the search, I bet everybody will have estasy in their system or their cars.

Chris answers:

Detention and search by police requires an individualized probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. In the U.S. We do not detain search people simply because others in the neighborhood are committing crimes. Furthermore, you assume unlimited manpower. Whenever there is a concert somewhere, almost all the cops are already assigned elsewhere, from keeping the jail secure, to investigating robberies, to patrol and undercover operations.

question reguarding online sportsbooks?

I’m 19 and i love betting sports, it makes the games that much more entertaining and frankly im pretty good at my picks…however at the moment, i give my money to a co-worker, who then gives it to another person (not sure who) who then does the picks online through a book im guessing….it is a straight 2 to 1, or a 10% deduction if you lose, so if i bet 100 on a spread or o/u or w/e, id get 100, if i lose id pay 110, and i somehow get my winnings in cash the next day, anyways its just getting complicated and id like to just set up something myself, so im wondering the best sports book, that is reliable and pays quickly, i doubt i will ever figure out what system this guy is using but i really want to get into this…bodog is one im kinda looking into but no idea how it works…thanks for the help

Chris answers:

Wow – so many helpful links in these answers. You guys sure do know your stuff.

Look Andrew. These guys just want to get you to sign up under their affiliate link so they can make money when you lose. That’s why their answers all contain links or urls, so many more than an answer about bananas might.

There are a handful of reputable sportsbooks out there still taking traffic from the US. Bodog is one of them, but won’t be for much longer – they’re pulling from the US market at year’s end. So you may want to consider another book if you’re looking to profit from the benefits of a long term relationship (loyalty bonuses, etc).

I’d recommend Bookmaker as well. Or 5Dimes. BetOnline is certainly taking a giant leap forward as other books pull out of the US. Legends is another good sportsbook that’s been around for a long time.

If you want to avoid the conflict of interest these answerers have by pointing you to links that they profit from, just google “online sportsbooks” and go from there.

In a college basketball game bet does a given point spread carry over if there is an overtime?

Obviously I am talking about the Kansas v. Memphis game tonight… me and my brother made a bet and i picked Memphis to win and he gace me a 5 point spread and i would win if Memphis won or lost by less than 5 points… vice versa. However, the game finished in a tie (at this moment I’m winning the bet) but the game goes into OT. Kansas wins by over 5 points. Who wins the bet because I guessed the original final but with OT included the final score reflects an over 5 point victory for Kansas. Help me out

Chris answers:

Yes, the spread carries over into overtime.

Obviously if you’re betting on the points over/under total and you have the over, you’re very happy to see the game go into overtime if you haven’t already won your bet.

To gamblers, that’s why they call it OVERtime, cuz when it goes there the total usually goes OVER.

What is a good basketball shoe?

I play intermediate level pick up games and I have been wearing my 1.3 Dwayne Wade’s which I love and they are comfortable to play in, but the grip wears down way to fast as this is my third pair. I am looking for a comfortable shoe (slightly wider for my wide feet) that grips the floor and is under $100. I have worn Nike’s in the past and that is probably my best bet, just wondering which model in particular you guys prefer?

Hyperdunks are absolutely awesome. I swear you feel like you’re barely wearing anything and I know that I jump higher in them.

Who does President Obama pick to win the World Series?

He got the Super Bowl right with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He got the NCAA basketball title right with North Carolina. I realize that neither was exactly a longshot, but to get two major picks right within 2 months is pretty strong. Has he made a selection for this season’s World Series? If so, place your bets, but do it at a foreign casino, and maybe we can even fix the economy that way!

Chris answers:

I’m surprised I though that was all he was doing was picking teams and spending billions of dollar of our money.

When I found out he was a White Sox fan that just explained it all to me.

Never bet on cup games.
Prepare yourself for at least one spoiler every week.

What is a money line in sports betting?

when people bet the money line are they betting just the outcome with no odds having to be met? For example say if it was between the lakers and the heat.

Lakers -10
Heat +10

What if i bet the money line instead of the spread line. Would the lakers just have to win in order for me to win? What kind of bet is that called when you just bet on the winner with no spread line involved?

Chris answers:

You are absolutely correct! It is also called ‘straight up’. Of course if you’re betting on the favorite, your payout will be a lot lesser. If you are betting on an upset though, and it hits, you will win a great deal more than with the spread. Check out http://GamblingReviewsSite.com for a complete sports betting glossary, free tutorials, betting tips, free sports picks, and much more.

Mary asks…

When betting on sports, what do these particular lines mean?

Open?

Today?

O/U?

We’re having a contest at work and I want to double check that I know what I’m doing. Thanks.

Chris answers:

O/U stadns for over and under, this line sets a total score for both teams, the final scores are added together and then they are either over of under the betting total
example
O/U Chargers/Jaguars 40 1/2

San Diego 24
Jacksonville 21

total 24+21=45 this is over 40 1/2 the bettor who bet over would win the bet and the bettor who bet under would lose

Open usually represent the opening line, this is the first betting line established on the game. The line moves up or down based on many facotrs including how many and how much is bet on which team, injuries, and any other information that might affect the outcome of the game
Some lines never change, some lines change daily, therefore
the Today line, this reflects the odds or point that are available if you make your bet today

Joseph asks…

is their a web site with information on the betting lines of professional sports?

Chris answers:

Go try this…you can also look at this Sundays newspaper or any newspaper (Daily Record) for that matter and they should show you the favorite and underdog with the betting line on there as well. Hope that helped.

Paul asks…

Does MLB have a comprehensive set of rules (laws) that includes banned steroids?

and other banned offenses?

Steroids, and other performance enhancing drugs have been around for a long time.
No one can say for sure even if great players in the 60′s and 70′s used steroids.
Amphetamines were popular in the 60′s, and of course alcohol is still used.
Alcohol being a stimulant in the early stages also relieves tensions and some pain.

Government laws should have no impact on the actions of MLB unless it is
specifically stated in MLB law. MLB law can cover a wide range of offenses by
stating that a player shall be penalized if they commit a felony. Obviously the
NFL has no such rule since Plaxico Burress can play after getting out of jail.

If MLB rules state that you can’t bet on baseball then don’t expect to go to the Hall
of Fame, even though no government laws were broken. If MLB law says a player
can’t use any type of amphetamine, then a player should be penalized by MLB if
amphetamines are detected in a blood test – - – - even if the player’s doctor
prescribed them to him.

The bottom line is that MLB needs to law down the law and continually update that
law as new drugs come into usage. They also need to test regularly players and
enforce their laws.

If someone admits to using a substance in the past, and there was no MLB rule
banning it at that time it was used, – - – then nothing should happen to the player.

It is the responsibility of MLB to establish and enforce its rules. If they do this the
fans support of management on this issue will be almost 100%.

Chris answers:

Is this a sincere question, or just a rhetorical one as an essay opener? And one that appears to date from around, oh, 2002 at that — because those of us paying attention know that MLB, with the agreement of the MLBPA, has laid down the law, and does update the information as new steroids become available and identified. Let’s all try to keep up.

Yes, MLB maintains a list of prohibited substances — some listed explicitly, others captured by blanket citation of “Federal Regulations Schedules of Controlled Substances, Schedule III”.

What you want is in the document “MLB Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program”, section 2.B.

You can find that here: http://mlbplayers.mlb.com/pa/info/cba.jsp

And you can find Schedule III here: http://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/21cfr/cfr/1308/1308_13.htm

…though for an actual list of anabolic androgenic steroids, you have to go to this other part (look, lawyers do this sort of thing; the info is there, but finding it is a pain): http://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/21cfr/cfr/1300/1300_01.htm

It’s pretty dull stuff unless you’ve got a chemistry background.

Harry Caray memories?

It is hard to believe that this Monday Febuary 18th is the 10 year annversity of Harry Caray’s passing, and I am asking Baseball fans, if they have any good memories of Harry Caray, that they would like to share. Chicago Cubs play-by-play man Pat Hughes has put together a Baseball Voices cd in tribute to him, he wrote a book, and threw in a cd, and he does a TV program on Harry Caray, and you can check them out at http://www.baseballvoices.com , http://www.helloagaineverybody.com . Amazon.com and I bet other on-line sites has the book, and the program avaibale for purchase. And if you on in Chicago, Comcast Sports Net will reply 3 games with his calls, all with running Hello Again Everybody: The Harry Caray Story, and Chicago Tribune Live will be broadcasting live from Harry Caray’s restuarant at 33 West Kinzie Street. And on the 21st, they will be toasting him at 7:00 P.M.

Chris answers:

I loved listening the Harry Caray call the Cardinals games long before he ever went to Oakland, Chicago White Sox and then finally the Cubs. His call that I liked best was on Oct. 4, 1964 when Tim McCarver caught a foul ball hit by Ed Kranepool and “THE CARDINALS WON THE PENNANT” He yelled that three time before trying to interview players as they left the field. Harry broadcast Cardinals games for about 25 years. The Cardinals radio network was the largest in major league baseball and for a long time the Cardinals were the farthest west that major league baseball went so all of the west got Cardinals baseball and harry Caray HOLY COW.

Mary asks…

How much pink is too much?

Yes, breast cancer is a terrible disease. I get that. But enough is enough. I can see a pink ribbon, a mention before the game, a PSA during the game, but this is getting ridiculous.

Every coach, player, and official is already wearing a pink ribbon. But that’s not good enough. We need pink towels, sweatbands, ball caps, goal post pads, gloves, cheerleaders uniforms, shoes, shoe laces, and a big pink ribbon on the referee’s hat. Why not paint all of the lines on the field pink? How about the home team have pink numbers and helmets while the visiting team dons pink jerseys? Why don’t the referees have black and pink shirts with pink knickers? I’m expecting to see pink end zones and pink goal posts. The laces on the ball are still white, make those pink as well!

I blame baseball. The pink bats were a cute gimmick, then they had to do pink gloves and pink sweatbands. Next year I bet they’re going to dye the baseballs pink and make their bases pink with a big pink home plate.

Again, before you start hating on me, I agree that breast cancer is a terrible disease and there should be a concerted effort to find better treatments and eventually a cure. I just think that the pink overkill is going to do more damage to the cause by burning people out on it.

George asks…

Some baseball questions for everyone?

1) Have you ever heard of a batter swing at an intentional ball?

2) Have there been any cases of an umpire illegally betting on games? It might not even be noticeable, as an umpire can easily either call balls or strikes on close pitches and potentially change the outcome of a game.

3) If a wild pitch lands into the seating area and cannot be retrieved, how many bases can runners advance?

4) If National League teams love pitchers hitting so much, why do they employ the double switch?

5) If a streaker runs out onto the field and interferes with a baserunner on a close play, what is the ruling?

Chris answers:

1) Yeah, a couple times. Miguel Cabrera got an RBI single a few years ago off an intentional ball.

2) I don’t know of any…but in the NBA it’s possibly, Tim Donaghy, etc.

3) I think the base they were going for plus one more.

4) I know I wouldn’t want pitchers batting if I was an NL manager…

5) I believe it’s umpires’ discretion as to what would’ve happened.

James asks…

Would someone who believes that Pete Rose shouldn’t be reinstated?

please explain how, if Rose who never admitted to betting in Reds games (the team he played and manged for) how the commissioner can unilaterally userp paragraph 1 of rule 21(d) of the MLB rulebook which states:

BETTING ON BALL GAMES. Any player, umpire, or club official or employee, who shall bet any sum whatsoever upon any baseball game in connection with which the bettor has no duty to perform shall be declared ineligible for one year
thanks NY33, that explained it.
I am aware of paragraph 2, my only argument to that is, at the time of his punishment he was not admitting to that, though he has since.
According to the Dowd Report itself, “no evidence was discovered that Rose bet against the Reds.”[

Chris answers:

You need to look at the second paragraph of Rule 21(d):

(d) BETTING ON BALL GAMES.
(graf 1 deleted)

Any player, umpire, or club or league official or employee, who shall bet any sum whatsoever upon any baseball game in connection with which the bettor has a duty to perform shall be declared permanently ineligible.

Since Rose is known to have bet upon Reds games in which he, as manager, had a duty to perform, this is the relevant paragraph, and explains his permanent ineligibility.

———-
Fine. We then turn to the actual agreement which Rose willingly signed, consenting to his permanent ineligibility. Here’s the key statement:

“Peter Edward Rose acknowledges that the Commissioner has a factual basis to impose the penalty provided herein….”

The commissioner never did impose the penalty upon Rose, because Rose signed this document before the formal hearing was convened. Rose ACCEPTED his penalty, because he knew Giamatti and Vincent had him dead to rights, with merit.

Nancy asks…

The REAL reason Google is leaving China?

Two Gmail accounts get hacked and Google threatens to pull out of China if they don’t allow uncensored searching. Yeah, ok Google….

1. Why would Google give a toss if two e-mails got hacked with an organization that has nothing to do with the company itself? That’s like me being the owner of Wal-Mart and closing down some stores after a huge shootout, it makes NO sense.

2. What the hell did they expect when they started doing business in China? HELLO! This is not the country of Switzerland we are dealing with, it is China. Of course there’s going to be laws against censorship along with suspicious cyber attacks and funny government rules. China does not have the same laws that the U.S. does. Here in the U.S., we can bash Bush all day and not get arrested for it.

3. Google talks about this “20 or so U.S. companies got attacked in the process.” It seems to me like this statement is an excuse to add icing to the cake. Companies in the states get attacked almost every day from random hackers/virus/malware. All you have to do is go out and buy anti-virus software if you’re so concerned about this. I think this is just an excuse that Google pulled out of their hats in order to leave China. My girlfriend’s debit card just got hacked about 3 weeks ago by someone in another country with charges of over $300.

4. The REAL reason Google is pulling out is not because of this, but because of poor business in China. I don’t necessarily believe that Baidu is the cause. If you’re fighting against another team in baseball, why quit when the score is 3 to nothing? Google is not making good money in China, so they use excuses of cyber attacks to leave the country by trying to force them into filtering their search results.

5. Google is stereotyping China using this technique, and they did a good job too. Hey, everyone knows that China is full of hackers, lets use that to make a good reason to pull out.

6. America is known to lie and deceive people in the media/community and it has been a trick used ever sine this country got invaded. Google doesn’t want to make themselves look bad, so they use some pennyass lie about 20-30 companies being attacked by China. Everyone in the world knows that America does this, hell, I am a born citizen of this country and know for a fact that we do this. This has been our tactic for years on building this country.

Wake up people. A multi-billion dollar company is not going to pull out of a country because someones e-mail account got hacked, that’s just stupid. And I bet everyone a month’s paycheck that Google would not give a toss about this attack if they were making lots of money in China.

PS: Google says that the hackers stole a source code. The e-mails belonged to Chinese human rights activists, not Google staff.

They refuse to release any more information about the source code being stolen, so I doubt this statement is true. I am thinking this may also be a lie.
